Latin Name: | Rumex sanguineus |
Position: | Full to partial sun |
Height: | 30cm |
Spread: | 30cm |
Growing Info: Best sown directly March-May. Prepare soil prior to sowing. Remove stones and weeds and rake to a fine tilth. Sow 5mm deep in rows 45cm apart. Thin the seedlings so that plants are 30cm apart once established. Water well during dry spells. Alternatively, can be grown under glass all year and used as a cut-and-come-again salad crop. |
|
Aftercare: Do not let the plant flower as leaves become inedible. Cut back completely and it will come back with fresh, tender leaves. Deadhead to prevent self-seeding. Divide every 3 years. |
