Lupinus 'The Governor' Seeds

Robust spires of pea-like flowers in blue and white rise above mounds of mid green palmate leaves. These are tall plants, so ideal for the middle of the border. Look fantastic when planted in groups. Good for jewel-coloured borders and cool themes alike.

  • Further Information
Common Name: Lupin
Plant Type: Perennial
Position: Full Sun to Partial Sun
Height: 90cm
Spread: 60cm
Growing Info:
Soak seeds for 48 hours before sowing under cover. March-May, sow seeds 5-10mm deep. Seeds need temperature 18-20°C to germinate, so using a propagator or sealing sown seeds in a polythene bag on a windowsill will help. Prick out seedlings to individual pots when large enough. Harden off and transplant to final position 50cm apart, after risk of frost has passed. Can also be sown Sep-Oct under cover for flowers the following year.
Aftercare:
Cut back faded flower spikes. Water and feed to get a second flush of blooms.
