Producing an abundance of fruit resembling watermelons, the Cucamelon is an unusual yet easy to grow plant. A Cucumber-l like fruit with citrus flavours. Great for use in salad or sliced in sandwiches. They can also be chopped into Salsa or pickled and used like mini gherkins. Rich in Vitamin C.

Growing Info:
Sow inside Apr-May in seed trays with a fine covering of seed compost. Maintain at 20-21°C. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, prick out into individual pots to grow on. Plant into final position in sunny sheltered position or in the greenhouse. Support with canes or netting and train in the plants as they grow. Pinch out the tip once 2-2.5m high.
Aftercare:
Pinch out side shoots at ~30-40cm to encourage bushier growth. Pick regularly to encourage more fruits.
