A drought-tolerant annual, which thrives in full sun and flowers until the first frosts. This bicoloured flower makes a great addition to the garden. Use amongst wildflowers or in meadows for great effect. They are equally at home in patio containers. Ideal for cut flower borders. When cutting, cut buds before they fully open and put stem straight into fresh water.

Growing Info:
Under cover March-April, sow the easily-handled, long thin seeds 3mm deep, in trays of moist compost, cover with a fine layer of vermiculite or compost. Transfer to individual pots when large enough to handle. Acclimatise before planting out in May and protect from late frosts. Can also be sown direct to the border May-June. Space 30cm apart.
Aftercare:
Deadhead regularly. Pinch out tips of young plants to encourage bushy growth. May need protection from slugs and aphids
