The Jalapeno is a heavy cropping chilli with numerous fruits 5-10cm long on medium sized plants. The chillies range from dark green to deep red once ripe. Easy to grow chilli which can be used fresh, dried or pickled.

Growing Info:
Sow inside from Feb-Apr. Sow early for longer harvests. Sow in pots filled with free-draining compost. Cover with vermiculite and keep at around 21°C. Uncover once seedlings appear and prick out into individual 12-15cm pots once 2-3cm high. Plant into their final position 30cm apart in the greenhouse/tunnel; alternatively acclimatise and plant outside once frosts have passed.
Aftercare:
Stake plants as they get taller. Feed with high potassium fertiliser weekly after flowering starts to encourage a bumper crop.
