Latin Name: | Brassica oleracea var. botrytis |
Position: | Full Sun |
Height: | 55cm |
Spread: | 75cm |
Growing Info: Sow Jan-Feb under glass, or direct sow outside Mar-May. Sow under cover Sep-Oct for overwintering. Easiest sown in modules 10-15mm deep, 4-6 weeks before planting into their final positions. Space plants 45cm apart, with 60-80cm between rows. Early and late sowings will benefit from winter protection. Young plants grown under cover should be acclimatised before planting out. |

Aftercare: Secure long leaves over the top of the heads to stop the sun from yellowing them. Plants may need to be protected from birds and insects with netting. Plant with mint and Nasturtiums to discourage pests. |
