Anthriscus sylvestris the common Cow Parsley produced clouds of soft white umbel flowers – seen on verges and along hedgerows, it makes a good addition to wilder planting schemes and prairie planting. Tolerant of a wide range of soil conditions and will self-seed freely for a natural look. Attractive to butterflies, bees and other pollinators.

Latin Name: A well-know and well-loved wildflower with masses of umbel flowers emerging in Spring.

Growing Info:
Sow outdoors in raked fine soil where they are to flower from Sep-Feb or May-Jun and finely cover. Thin seedlings to 40-50cm. Plants will add foliage in their first year and flower in their second year. Seeds need winter cold to break their dormancy and germinate.
Aftercare:
After flowering will die-back, leave the architectural seed heads if you want to encourage them to self seed.
