The Fox's Grape Fritillary has the appearance of a connoisseur plant yet it looks after itself year after year, being hardy and thrives in sun or partial shade. Plant in a border, gravel garden or rockery or anywhere with a fertile, well-drained soil that will be dry over the summer. Can be grown in pots of gritty compost to enjoy the flowers at close quarters.
Growing Info: Plant bulbs on their sides, 10-15cm deep, 5cm apart. As they are best left undisturbed to establish, it is worth adding some garden compost and grit to the soil when planting.
